Rwenzori Center for Research and Advocacy (RCRA) is a Ugandan community- based Non-Governmental organization registered by law of Uganda (Reg: INDR150313682NB), with a national office in Kasese, Plot 5 Koro Road and a regional coordination office in Kampala. With the mission of empowering communities for improved livelihoods, healthcare, and education appropriate for the 21st century, and envisions enabling an informed and healthier society.
Rwenzori Center for Research and Advocacy (RCRA) is a Ugandan community-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). It is registered by law in Uganda (Reg: INDR150313682NB) and has a national office in Kasese at Plot 5 Koro Road, along with a regional coordination office in Kampala.
RCRA’s mission is to empower communities through improved livelihoods, healthcare, and education suitable for the 21st century, aiming to create an informed and healthier society. The organization focuses on underserved and vulnerable populations, including those with low incomes, adolescents, women and young mothers, individuals affected or infected with HIV/AIDS, refugees, victims of gender-based violence, and elderly caregivers of orphans and vulnerable children.
RCRA operates a not-for-profit Community Health Centre III and an Adolescent Recreation Centre, providing free services for adolescents aged 10–19. These services include sexual and reproductive health services (HIV testing and counseling, STI/STDs screening, antenatal care for adolescents, cancer screening, and family planning), as well as maternal, neonatal, and child health services.
